At Kent Horsebox Hire all of our drivers and attendants hold the DEFRA Welfare of Animals in Transport (WATO) Certificate of Competence. This means we are experienced and competent handling horses and we ensure that journey times are kept to a minimum, with water, feed and rest given to the animals as needed.
No Breast Bar
In some circumstances horses can try to jump over the breast bar, causing injury to the horse or damage to the vehicle. By removing the breast bar you can feel at ease knowing that your horse is safe.
Oversized Rear Door
If you have an accident that causes the side loading door to become unusable, then the oversized rear door will allow you both a clear exit out the back of the horsebox.
Passenger Bulkhead
The reinforced passenger bulkhead protects the driver in the event of hard breaking or, in the worst case scenario, a frontal impact crash.

Kent Horsebox Hire & Transport holds a Valid Type 2 Transporter Authorisation from the Animal & Plant Health Agency (formerly AHVLA) for all journeys up to and over 65km including those that exceed 8 hours duration. To achieve this we went to great lengths to install features which will ensure the comfort and wellbeing of your horse even on short journeys.

Peace of Mind
We have taken out fully comprehensive insurance for anyone between the ages 23 and 75 to drive the horse box and in the unlikely event that you do breakdown you are covered by our 24 hour breakdown and roadside assistance.
Fully Certified
As an authorised Type 2 Horse Transporter our drivers and attendants hold WATO Certificates of Competence from The British Driving Society. All our horseboxes have Vehicle Approval for long journeys from the Freight Transport Association. All of this to ensure your horses’ safety and comfort.
